Back to GatewayOur Varsity team, made up of Sebastien C. (Grade 11), Elena G. (Grade 10), Arthur K. (Grade 11), Meyer N.-B. (Grade 11), and Gelsomina P. (Grade 10), faced exceptionally tough competition in their division. Although they did not advance to the playoffs, their performance was a significant achievement. The team earned substantially more points than St. Stephen’s Varsity teams that reached the finals in both London (2024) and Vienna (2025)—a strong indication of the team’s growth and potential.

Meanwhile, our Junior Varsity team, composed of freshmen Arthur D., Ashton S., Leonelo T.M., and Harriet V., delivered an outstanding performance. The team successfully advanced to the playoffs and fought hard until the quarterfinals, where they narrowly missed moving forward. Their efforts earned them a well-deserved Quarterfinalist Junior Varsity Division plaque, a fantastic accomplishment for such a young team.
The trip to Berlin offered students much more than competition. They had the opportunity to explore some of the city’s most important historical landmarks, deepening their understanding of the past beyond the classroom. Highlights included a visit to the Neues Museum, a walk along the East Side Gallery, where students experienced the longest preserved stretch of the Berlin Wall—approximately 1.3 kilometers—and a visit to the scenic River Spree. The group also enjoyed an unforgettable dinner featuring delicious Vietnamese cuisine, which quickly became one of the trip’s favorite memories.
Adding to the excitement, St. Stephen’s also received a plaque recognizing our Varsity Division Championship in the 2025 Online Fall History Bowl, won on November 29 by our newly graduated seniors Ayan R., Hamza E., Jonah G., and Maggie M.
We are incredibly proud of all of our students for their dedication, curiosity, and competitive spirit. Their achievements reflect not only academic excellence, but also the enthusiasm for learning that defines the St. Stephen’s community. Congratulations to all!
