Alumni will have a chance to hear her vision for the future of St. Stephen’s and reconnect with our international school community.
Since joining St. Stephen’s in July, Maria has brought her experience in education, international leadership, and strategic development to the school. These gatherings will provide alumni and friends with an opportunity to get to know her, learn about her priorities, and hear firsthand about the exciting developments taking place on campus.
Both evenings will also be an occasion to renew friendships, share memories of Rome, and celebrate the connections that continue to bring the St. Stephen’s community together across generations and continents.

Our first gathering will take place on Wednesday, December 9, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, at the Dupont Circle home of Dede Faulkner Graves ’76 and J. Page Lansdale, who have generously offered to host the reception.
Alumni and friends in the Washington area are warmly invited to meet Maria in an informal setting, hear about the school's direction and future plans, and enjoy an evening of drinks and conversation with fellow members of the St. Stephen’s community.

As the reception will be held in a private home, space is limited, and advance registration is strongly encouraged.

On Friday, December 11, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Maria will join alumni and friends in New York City for a special evening at the historic Salmagundi Club, located at 47 Fifth Avenue in Manhattan.
We warmly invite members of the St. Stephen’s community in the New York area to join Maria for an evening of conversation and connection. Guests will have the opportunity to hear her perspectives on the school's future, catch up on the latest news from Rome, and reconnect with fellow alumni and friends.

As St. Stephen’s enters a new chapter under Maria’s leadership, maintaining strong connections with our alumni and friends remains an important part of the school's future. Our international community has always been one of St. Stephen’s greatest strengths, bringing together generations of students whose shared experiences in Rome continue to shape their lives long after graduation.
These December gatherings are an opportunity to celebrate that legacy while looking ahead to what comes next. We hope alumni and friends in both cities will join us to welcome Maria, share their experiences, and be part of the continuing St. Stephen’s story.
We look forward to seeing you in Washington, D.C., and New York!
