Community Gateway
Back to GatewayAs we honored the Class of 2026, we reflected on a journey that began years ago when these students first arrived on campus—many as teenagers still discovering who they were, what they believed, and where they hoped life might take them.

They arrived carrying different stories, different cultures, different dreams, and, in many cases, different fears.
Some arrived confident. Others arrived uncertain. Many were still searching for their voice.
Over time, something remarkable happened.
Through late-night study sessions, spirited classroom discussions, artistic expression, athletic challenges, friendships, setbacks, and moments of personal triumph, they began to grow—not just as students, but as people.
They learned how to think independently while remaining open to new perspectives. They learned how to live in community with others whose experiences differed from their own. They learned resilience in moments of disappointment, courage in moments of uncertainty, and empathy in moments that required compassion.
Most importantly, they learned to become more fully themselves.
That may be the greatest achievement of all.
The young people crossing the stage at graduation were not the same individuals who first walked through our doors. They leave as thoughtful scholars, creative problem-solvers, compassionate friends, and globally minded citizens prepared to engage meaningfully with the world.

What makes the Class of 2026 so special is not simply what they accomplished, but who they became along the way.
They challenged ideas, supported one another, and contributed to the spirit of this community in ways both big and small. They reminded us that education is not only about knowledge gained, but about character formed.
As they leave St. Stephen’s and step into their next chapter, they carry with them something more valuable than any diploma: a deeper understanding of themselves and their place in the world.
We are proud not only of where they are going, but of who they are.
Congratulations, Class of 2026.
You arrived as teenagers.
You leave as yourselves.
